Bishop White Seminary 429 E Sharp Avenue Spokane, WA 99202
My name is Jose Muniz. I live in Hermiston, OR, and I am 21 years old. I am an only child, and I have been blessed with parents who have always loved and supported me in every step of my life. I grew up serving at Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church since I was a kid, and that experience has helped me grow closer to God throughout the years. Being involved in the Church from a young age has taught me the importance of faith, prayer, and serving others. Now I will take the next step in my discernment by entering the seminary. My parents have always supported my journey, and they are very proud of my decision to continue following God's call to the priesthood. I am thankful for their encouragement and for always reminding me to trust in God's plan for my life. I have been involved in youth group and have also helped with many activities and events the church has had. I have been an altar server for 11 years, and in December 2025 I was blessed to become an Acolyte. Serving at the altar has strengthened my faith and helped me grow closer to God. Now I will take the next step by entering the seminary. A lot of people have been praying for me ever since I first stepped onto the altar, and I am grateful for all of their prayers and support throughout my journey. One last thing I want to say to every young man who has doubts about taking the next step is this: Young man, you too can serve God. Do you know why? Because God will never abandon you. If you think God may be calling you, do not be afraid to listen to His voice. Trust Him, pray often, and ask Him to guide your heart. There may be challenges along the way, but God will always be with you and will give you the strength you need to follow His will. Never be afraid to say "yes" to God, because His plans for you are greater than anything you could imagine.
