New Parish Assignments
Bishop Thomas Hennen announces the following priestly assignments effective February 1, 2026:
Reverend Richard Fischer is assigned as Chancellor for the Diocese of Baker.Reverend Steve Garza is assigned as parochial vicar of Our Lady of Angels Church, Hermiston, including prison ministry in Hermiston and Pendleton.
Reverend Nobil Simon, OSH, is assigned as parochial vicar of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Bend.
Reverend Rijo Devasia, CST, is assigned as Sacramental Minister of St. Edward the Martyr Church, Sisters.
Reverend Jose Thomas Mudakodiyil is relieved from prison ministry in Pendleton, while remaining pastor of St. Mary Church in Pendleton, St. Helen Church in Pilot Rock and providing ministry to St. Anthony Hospital.
The priest to be appointed parochial vicar at St. Francis of Assisi in Bend is yet to be determined.
